The Ground School: The Basics 101
Here you will learn about what kiteboarding is, the wind window, down wind vs upwind, your gear, and how to handle emergency situations. Once you nail down the basics, we'll get ya flying one of our power or "trainer" kites to get the feel of the power from the wind.
After a full Intro to Kiteboarding course in the beginning, we get you fitted with a harness and we hit the water! Our shallow sandy bottom environment will make it super easy for you to progress and become a PASA Level 1 kiteboarder. We have the gear and the experience to get you up and riding before you know it!
Our lessons take place at one of the most beautiful settings on the Outer Banks. The Historic Whalehead in Historic Corolla and Currituck Beach Lighthouse are the backdrops as you kite over the shallow waters of the Currituck Sound. We have scoped out all the best spots to get you up & riding! From body dragging to learning new tricks, we'll be right behind you following on jet skis. And if you're at a higher skill level, we will be happy to show you around our home turf too!
