For more than 20 years, The Blue Point staff has been offering coastal cuisine and southern hospitality in a warm and comfortable setting. Guests can enjoy spectacular views of the Currituck Sound while enjoying lunch and dinner menu items that are prepared with the region’s rich bounty of seafood and vegetables.
The lunch menu offers a variety of homemade soups, salads, entrees and sandwiches. For dinner, choose from entrees of seafood, pasta, beef and pork.
Don’t miss the signature she crab soup, made with blue crab stock, sherry, nutmeg, cream and plump claw meat from Jimmy crabs in the Pamlico Sound.
The North Carolina mountain trout with brown butter will melt in your mouth. Another sure bet is the Sea scallops from Wanchese, generously served with field pea “hoppin’ john” and corn relish. Taste a little southern comfort with summer shrimp & grits, which includes pickled Carolina shrimp with cheddar grits and green tomato chow chow.
For dessert, try The Blue Point’s famous warm southern pecan pie, served with brown butter caramel sauce and Kentucky bourbon ice cream. Or indulge in the restaurant’s “old southern” pound cake, made with local fresh strawberries, lemon curd, almonds and oat crumble.
The Blue Point has always prided itself on being the original Outer Banks farm to table restaurant. Dinner reservations are accepted.
