This quirky shop has a fabulous collection of hats, shoes and coffee. Before it opened in Duck, it did business in a large wooden building in Nags Head for 12 years. The new location is not quite as big, but it has the same focus on cool headgear and great tasting coffee from fresh beans.
If you need an extra jolt, try the espresso. Like the old store, the hat selection is high quality, ranging from sun hats that have sun-blocking engineered into them, to fashion hats that merely provide shade and good looks. There are also some men’s hat, and baseball-style caps for men and women. While you’re there, you can also pick up a stylish pair of sunglasses, trendy wooden jewelry or some shoes in the latest styles. True to it’s eclectic offerings, the store also sells whimsical wall sculptures, made of wood or metal. From mermaids to sailboats to peacocks and a range of other subjects, the wall hangings range from inexpensive and fun to larger and more artsy.
